How to Play Fantasy CEO

Fantasy CEO is like fantasy football, but instead of athletes, you're drafting chief executives. Your team's score is based on stock performance, news sentiment, and executive compensation changes.

Getting Started

1. Create or Join a League

Start by either creating your own private league or joining an existing one with a league code. Each league can have 4-8 teams.

2. Draft Your Team

Once your league has at least 4 teams, the commissioner can start the draft. You'll draft 10 CEOs in a snake draft format.

Snake Draft: In Round 1, teams pick in order 1-2-3-4. In Round 2, the order reverses: 4-3-2-1. This continues alternating for all 10 rounds.

3. Compete for 90 Days

Your league runs for one quarter (90 days). Daily scores are calculated and your team's ranking updates automatically.

The Draft

CEO Pool

You'll draft from the top 100 CEOs by company market capitalization, spanning all major sectors:

Draft Strategy

Consider diversifying across sectors to reduce risk. Some players prefer stacking CEOs from industries they understand well. There's no single winning strategy!

Scoring System

Your team's score is calculated daily based on three factors:

📈 Stock Performance (60% weight)

Points are awarded based on the daily percentage change in your CEO's company stock price. A 2% gain might earn 120 points, while a 2% loss might cost 120 points.

📰 News Sentiment (30% weight)

Positive news coverage about your CEO or their company earns points. Negative coverage loses points. We analyze major financial news sources daily.

💰 Compensation Changes (10% weight)

Major compensation announcements (raises, stock grants, bonuses) earn points. Compensation cuts lose points.

Example: If Jensen Huang's NVIDIA stock rises 3%, gets mentioned positively in 2 major articles, and announces no compensation changes, you might earn 200 points for the day.

Winning the League

At the end of the 90-day season, the team with the highest total score wins!
